PhoneBurner Review 2026: Pricing, Features & Alternatives

Why Real Estate Agents Still Need Power Dialers in 2026

Making 100+ calls a day manually is a productivity killer. Between dialing numbers, waiting for rings, listening to voicemail greetings, and logging every call, agents spend more time on admin work than actual conversations.

Power dialers can help sales reps have up to 4x more live conversations by automating the repetitive parts of prospecting. For real estate agents chasing expired listings, FSBOs, or sphere-of-influence touchpoints, that difference can mean the gap between a struggling month and a record one.

We’ve been using power dialers in our business for years, and after testing multiple platforms, PhoneBurner consistently shows up as one of the most reliable options for agents who need professional-grade dialing without the complexity of enterprise call center software.

What Is PhoneBurner?

PhoneBurner is a power dialer and sales acceleration platform that increases productivity on the phone up to 4x. The system automates repetitive workflows and helps sales reps have 3-4 times more live conversations, so agents book more appointments and close more deals.

Unlike predictive dialers that can create awkward pauses when prospects answer, PhoneBurner has no dropped calls, no awkward delay, and connections are as seamless as dialing by hand — only much faster.

The platform is cloud-based. You don’t install anything on your computer. Log in from any browser, connect your phone, and start dialing through your lead lists.

Who PhoneBurner Works Best For

PhoneBurner is built for agents who spend serious time on the phone. If you’re prospecting expired listings, calling geographic farms, or touching base with your database regularly, this tool saves hours every week. Solo agents and small teams get the most value — it’s not overkill, but it’s also not a bare-bones solution.

PhoneBurner Features Real Estate Agents Actually Use

Power Dialer with No Connection Delay

The core feature is simple: PhoneBurner helps you have up to 4x more conversations with a power dialer that has no lag or delay. When a prospect picks up, you’re already there — no robotic pause, no dead air. That small detail matters more than you’d think. Prospects hang up fast when they hear silence.

You can dial in “power mode” where calls fire automatically, or switch to “preview mode” if you want to review contact details before each call. Most agents start with preview and shift to power mode once they get comfortable.

One-Click Voicemail Drop

You record your voicemail message once. After that, you can leave a pre-recorded message when you reach a prospect’s voicemail with just a single click. PhoneBurner moves you to the next call instantly while it drops your message. No more listening to 30-second voicemail greetings 80 times a day.

This alone saves 15-20 hours a month for agents making high call volumes.

Built-In CRM and Contact Management

PhoneBurner’s CRM helps agents manage contacts and perform coordinated follow-up via calls, emails, and SMS. It maintains detailed contact records and automatically tracks communications and activity history.

You can filter contacts by tags, location, last call date, or custom fields. Create saved searches to build targeted dial lists — “all expired listings in zip code 33301 not contacted in the last 7 days” takes 30 seconds to set up.

If you already use a CRM, PhoneBurner integrates with the major platforms: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Follow Up Boss, KVCore, and 150+ others through native connections or Zapier.

Email and SMS Automation

After a call, you can trigger automatic follow-up emails or texts based on the outcome. Set up custom disposition buttons: “Interested — send listing packet,” “Call back next week — schedule reminder,” “Not interested — remove from list.”

PhoneBurner’s SmartSender tracks emails and attachments and alerts users in real-time when emails are opened, links clicked, videos watched, or attachments viewed for perfectly timed follow-up.

Call Recording and Live Coaching

All plans include call recording (with varying storage limits). Recordings are useful for training, reviewing objections, and protecting yourself if a lead claims you said something you didn’t.

Team managers can listen to live calls, whisper coaching tips to reps without the prospect hearing, or jump into the call if needed. This is helpful if you have ISAs or newer agents handling your prospecting.

Spam Protection with ARMOR Technology

Getting your number flagged as “Spam Likely” kills answer rates. PhoneBurner’s ARMOR spam protection means your calls get through, numbers stay clean, and reps never worry about blocks or flags.

The system monitors your number’s reputation across major carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) and automatically starts remediation if you get flagged. This feature alone is worth the price for agents making 500+ calls a week.

Local Presence Dialing

PhoneBurner can display a local area code when you call prospects, even if you’re calling from a different state. Local numbers get answered more often than out-of-area calls — especially when prospecting expired listings or FSBOs who are wary of solicitors.

PhoneBurner Pricing (Updated for 2026)

PhoneBurner offers three pricing plans: Standard at $140 per user per month (billed annually), Professional at $165 per user per month (billed annually), and Premium at $183 per user per month (billed annually).

If you pay monthly instead of annually, prices are higher: $165 to $215 per user per month.

Standard Plan – $140/Month (Annual) or $165/Month

The Standard plan includes unlimited calling, one-click voicemail drop, email tracking, basic CRM, and integrations with major platforms. Call recordings are stored for 30 days.

This plan works for solo agents who need the core dialing features without advanced team management or extended recording storage.

Professional Plan – $165/Month (Annual) or $189/Month

The Professional plan adds longer call recording storage (90 days), softphone capability (so you can make calls through your computer instead of using a physical phone), branded email templates, and live call monitoring.

Most agents should start here. The extra recording storage and live coaching features are valuable if you’re training ISAs or reviewing your own performance.

Premium Plan – $183/Month (Annual) or $215/Month

The Premium plan includes everything in Professional, plus dedicated inbound phone numbers, advanced reporting, and priority support.

This tier makes sense if you’re running a small team and need inbound call handling or want deeper analytics on team performance.

Is PhoneBurner Expensive?

Although prices recently increased for the first time in 15 years, improvements like better call quality and AI noise cancellation add value. That said, some users report PhoneBurner is very expensive compared to competitors.

The pricing sits at the premium end of the power dialer market. Alternatives like Mojo Dialer or some basic VoIP solutions cost less. But PhoneBurner’s spam protection, instant connections, and CRM features justify the cost if you’re making 50+ calls a day.

They offer a free trial (60 calling minutes, no credit card required), so you can test before committing.

PhoneBurner Pros and Cons

What Works Well

  • No connection delay: Calls connect instantly when prospects answer — no awkward pause
  • Unlimited calling: All plans include unlimited minutes, which is rare at this price point
  • Outstanding customer support: Users praise the cheerful, competent support staff and rapid response times, often resolving issues within minutes
  • Spam protection: ARMOR technology actively monitors and remediates spam flags
  • Voicemail drop and email automation: Saves hours per week on repetitive tasks
  • Easy to use: Most agents are up and running within 30 minutes

Where It Falls Short

  • Price: More expensive than many competitors, especially for small teams
  • No multi-line dialing: Unlike Mojo, PhoneBurner dials one number at a time (though this is better for compliance)
  • Limited inbound features: Baseline inbound features are only available in the most expensive Premium plan
  • SMS setup can be tricky: Industry guidelines require A2P 10DLC registration for business texting, and some users report SMS not working smoothly
  • HubSpot integration quirks: Some users report PhoneBurner only syncs with free-text fields in HubSpot, making it hard to track lead status in dropdown formats

PhoneBurner Alternatives for Real Estate Agents

PhoneBurner isn’t the only power dialer out there. Here’s how it compares to the top alternatives agents consider:

REDX Power Dialer

If you’re a listing agent who lives in expired listings and FSBOs, REDX Power Dialer might be a better fit. REDX lives in the expired listing world and provides the expired listing leads AND the tools to call them efficiently.

REDX combines lead data with dialing software, so you don’t need to buy leads separately. The downside? REDX is built specifically for real estate, so if you ever pivot to another sales niche, you’ll need to switch platforms.

Mojo Dialer

Mojo is popular among high-volume prospectors. Mojo’s standout feature is the triple-line dialer, which helps agents make up to 300 calls per hour. You dial three numbers at once and connect to whoever answers first.

Mojo is usually less expensive than PhoneBurner and works well if raw call volume is your priority. But the triple-line approach can feel overwhelming, and some agents find the interface less intuitive.

Vulcan7

Vulcan7 has a unique video message feature — when prospects don’t answer, you can automatically send personalized video messages instead of just voicemail. This works surprisingly well in higher-end markets.

Vulcan7 also includes seller lead data and a basic CRM. Pricing tends to be higher than PhoneBurner, but the video messaging can be a differentiator if you’re working luxury listings.

Kixie and CloudTalk

Both platforms offer multi-line dialing and CRM integrations at lower price points than PhoneBurner. CloudTalk pricing starts at $19/user/month (billed annually), which is significantly cheaper.

The trade-off? These platforms are built for general sales teams, not specifically for real estate. You won’t get the same level of real estate-focused features or spam protection that PhoneBurner offers.

How to Get the Most Out of PhoneBurner

Buying the software is step one. Here’s how to actually use it to generate listings:

Set Up Your Dial Lists by Priority

Don’t just upload your entire database and start dialing. Create segmented lists: hot leads who requested a CMA, warm sphere contacts you haven’t touched in 90 days, expired listings from this week, past clients due for a check-in.

Tag contacts so you can build smart filters. When you sit down to dial, you’re calling people who actually make sense to contact that day.

Script Your Voicemail Drop Once, Then Forget It

Write a 20-second voicemail that sounds natural and conversational. Record it once in PhoneBurner. Now you never have to think about voicemail again — just hit the drop button and move to the next call.

Test a few versions over time. Track which voicemail gets more callbacks and use that one going forward.

Use Disposition Buttons for Automatic Follow-Up

Create custom outcome buttons for every call result. “Interested — send listing presentation” triggers an automated email with your listing packet attached. “Not home — call back tomorrow at 6pm” schedules the task automatically.

This keeps your follow-up organized without manual calendar entries or sticky notes.

Block Time for Focused Dial Sessions

PhoneBurner works best when you commit to uninterrupted blocks. Aim for 60-90 minute sessions where you do nothing but dial. Close your email. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb. Just make calls.

We’ve found 8-9am and 5-7pm work best for catching people at home. Midday (12-2pm) works for business owners or investor leads.

Review Your Recordings Weekly

Listen to 3-5 of your calls each week. What objections came up? Where did you fumble? Which scripts got positive responses? Adjust your approach based on what you hear.

If you have a team, review calls together. The best agents share what’s working, and newer agents learn faster.

Should You Try PhoneBurner?

If you’re making fewer than 20 calls a week, PhoneBurner is probably overkill. Manual dialing works fine at low volume.

But if you’re prospecting seriously — calling expireds, geographic farms, FSBOs, or touching your database regularly — PhoneBurner saves enough time to pay for itself after one extra deal every few months.

The pricing sits at the higher end of the market, but users report the company does a great job setting up new users and continues to provide very fast, efficient customer service. Support quality matters when you’re relying on a tool every single day.

Try PhoneBurner with their free trial (60 minutes of calling, no credit card required). Test it against your current process. If you’re not making significantly more calls in less time, it’s not the right fit.

For most agents who commit to prospecting, the time savings and increased contact rate make power dialers like PhoneBurner a smart investment. Just make sure you’re actually going to use it — the best dialer in the world doesn’t help if it sits unused.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PhoneBurner legal for real estate cold calling?

Yes, power dialers like PhoneBurner are legal when used correctly. Power dialers legally dial phone numbers from pre-approved contact lists, and by default all DNC numbers are excluded to keep you compliant. You’re responsible for scrubbing your lists against the National Do Not Call Registry and following state-specific rules.

Can I use PhoneBurner on my cell phone?

PhoneBurner works through any phone. You log into the web platform on your computer, then dial into PhoneBurner from your cell phone, landline, or use the built-in softphone. The software controls the dialing while you use your regular phone for conversations.

Does PhoneBurner work with Follow Up Boss?

Yes. PhoneBurner integrates with Follow Up Boss and most major real estate CRMs including KVCore, LionDesk, Wise Agent, and others through native integrations or Zapier.

How long does it take to learn PhoneBurner?

Most agents are making calls within 30 minutes of signing up. The interface is straightforward — upload contacts, create a dial list, hit start. The learning curve is minimal compared to more complex call center software.

Is there a cheaper alternative to PhoneBurner for real estate?

Mojo Dialer and CloudTalk both offer lower-priced plans. Basic VoIP services with click-to-call features are even cheaper. But you’ll sacrifice some of PhoneBurner’s spam protection, automation features, and real estate-specific functionality. For serious prospectors, the time savings usually justify the higher price.

One Response

  1. Phone Burner used to be good but now I am finding that many times does not reach a lot of people on my lead list, not able to even get a voicemail response. I think that it may be showing as spam, etc. Interesting is that I have tried a bunch of times using the same phone (that was used for the caller ID in phoneburner, and the calls seem to connect more often this way. I think I am losing a lot of opportunities using phoneburner, so I am going to have to find an alternative
